All auctions begin at the start of the calendar month and run through
to the end of the month. InterART reserves the right to close early or
extend auctions at any time at its discretion.
Most items offered for silent auction have a reserved price associated
with them, this is the minimum amount at which the Seller is willing to
sell the item for. In order to win the item, the winning bid must at least
match or be greater than the reserved price. If the highest bid for
the item falls below the reserved price, then the item is considered not
sold and it is up to the Seller's discretion (and a modest fee) whether
he wants to put the item up for auction again or remove it altogether.
Unlike other auctions, there is no "Buyer's Premium". Only the price
at which you win the item is payable (along with any applicable taxes).
To find out if you won, check the item's page after the end of the auction
- it will remain online for a couple of days. We will also notify you by
email.
All bids are made in increments and are subject to a minimum, as posted
for each item. To successfully register your bid, your bid must be at least
equal to the current "high" bid plus the minimum bid increment. Increments
can be made in any amount so long as it is greater than or equal to the
minimum increment.
InterART will also keep track of unsuccessful bids for each item. If
a problem arises with the successful bid, we may offer the item to you
at a later time at the price you bid, or (at the Seller's discretion and
a modest fee) we may decide to put the item up for auction again.
Successfully auctioned items will be made available to the winning
bidder's shipper either at the Seller's premises or at a convenient storage
location. Remember that all items are shipped "EXW" (on Buyer’s risk and
expense). You have right to authenticate the item for a period of 30 days
after receipt of shipping documents by InterART.
Please be aware that it is a violation of law to make bids in a false
name or to impersonate someone that has an account with us, even if our
software initially accepts such a bid. If such cases arise, please note
that your web browser transmits a unique internet address to us, which
can be used by law enforcement officials to identify you. Please don't
screw up the auction process by testing it with false bids, as it ruins
the fun for everyone, and puts you at substantial personal legal risk.
