Description: French jeweled porcelain plate, hand painted with the portrait of "Marquise De Verneuil" within gilded and jeweled border surrounded by a border of flowers with blue and gold ribbon. On the rim, within three white reserves, are sprays of flowers with a jeweled border connected to each other with filigree-like gilded ornaments and further jeweling on royal blue background. The back of the plate bears a fancy sevres cyphre with a crown, the letter "K" and name of the sitter. c.1850.
Condition: It is in excellent condition with only slight wear to gilding.
